Notorious Netlbocks Sendmail Anti-Spam Tricks Mail Filtering China and Korea Netblocks

This page is here to help anyone looking for common spam sources to block from their mail servers.
Don't let spammers fool you, they have no legal right to spam you or your customers. It is afterall
YOUR bandwidth and YOUR server they are connecting to and taking resources from.

I take a couple of different approaches and use a couple of different methods in combatting spam.
My first line of defense is filtering IP's and certain netblocks that either:

1. Send nothing but SPAM
2. Are small time spammers using their personal internet accounts
3. Are open-relays (not properly configured mail servers allowing anyone to use)
4. Spam friendly ISP's that allow their customers to run amuck hacking and spamming (Adelphia and Comcast are PRIME examples)

The blocks listed below are what I consider "notorious". A few belong to ISP's
that have difficulty controlling their customers or they are spam friendly. MOST
of the time any IP address not belonging to an ISP's mail server, official organization
or business has no business sending out email. I block known spammers using those too.
There are several lists like these on the internet this is just the one I use to filter. Again,
blocking netblocks is a very good first line of defense because while domain names are
cheap and can be bought in bulk, IP blocks are expensive! I do block domains using a
different method, but it has been IP filtering that has reduced incoming spam 75 percent.
